Marbella Travel Guide - Spain

Marbella, located in the province of Málaga, is one of the most exclusive summer resort towns in Europe.

Set on the famous Mediterranean Costa del Sol, Marbella has a resident population of about 200,000 during the year and 700,000 in the summer.

Marbella's pristine beaches enjoy 320 days of sunshine per year and less than 50 rainy days. Visitors arrive daily at the marina in luxurious yachts to take advantage of the town's beautiful boutiques, five star hotels and lively nightlife. Marbella is also a golfer's paradise; you can play all day and night, as many of the courses are illuminated after dark.

Another benefit of studying Spanish in Marbella is its convenient location near all of the most fascinating cities in Andalusia. You can take a short trip to Málaga, an important cultural center and the birthplace of Picasso, visit Granada and its magnificent Alhambra, head to Sevilla, the folkoric heart of Spain, or travel to Córdoba and see the confluence of Islam and Catholicism in the incredible Mezquita.

Marbella's residents have the typically Andalusian personality: sunny, friendly, relaxed and always ready for some good food and drink.
