Summer Camp Sports
Summer has long been the best time of year for children and teens to develop, practice and improve athletic skills. It's part of the very essence of summer! That's why, as part of our activity program, campers can take part in two types of sports programs:
1) Regularly Scheduled Sports Program
These athletic activities are scheduled into the afternoon and are available to the whole camp. To get an idea of the types of regularly planned sports in which your child or teenager can participate, take a look at the following list:
- basketball
- football
- waterpolo
- handball
- baseball
- volleyball
|
- olympics
- archery
- badminton
- capoeira
- aerobics
- swimming
|
- rock-climbing
- freebee
- hockey
- bowling
- indiaka
- darts
|
2) Optional Sports Programs
Campers who wish to participate in one of the optional sports programs will do so in addition to the regularly planned sports. These programs must be booked and the program supplement paid in advanced.
Spanish in the World currently offers six optional camp sports programs, though availability of each sport depends upon each individual camp. For more information about, please refer to the following pages:
When signing up for optional sports programs, please keep the following things in mind:
- Due to scheduling conflicts, students who enroll in summer camp golf lessons may not always be able to participate in all of the other camp activities. You can't always do it all!
- Program spaces are limited, so we encourage and advise parents to register their child as soon as possible to reserve a spot.
- You must book and pay for these optional sports at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the program your child has chosen; once the program has started, booking and payment will not be accepted.
- Campers can only take 1 optional sport per two-week period.
- Once the camp program has started, campers cannot join nor cancel an optional sports program.
